Energy-X Investment Readiness and Deal Room Programme

Nigeria Energy is excited to announce the launch of the Energy-X Investment Readiness and Deal Room Programme is tailored for African ventures operating in the energy sector. The programme provides founders with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to secure funding and scale their businesses.

Eligibility criteria

Be registered in Africa
Be for-profit
Have at least a minimum viable product
Have a solution in the energy industry, either digital, tech-enabled or non-digital products or services.
Have a management team of at least two people
Solution has evidence of traction (paying customers, first revenue etc)
Gender equity and balance are strongly encouraged.

Guidelines

Interested participants must complete the application form available on the Nigeria Energy website.
Submissions must include a Pitch Deck outlining the Your mission and/or vision, clarity of problem/solution, market sizing, product uniqueness, traction and revenue, evidence that your team can execute.
The deadline for submission of applications is September 1st, 2025

Team composition

Teams may consist of members with diverse backgrounds and expertise, promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration
Each team must have a designated mentor from academia or industry to provide guidance and support throughout the contest

Rewards

Shortlisted entries will have the opportunity to participate in the investment readiness programme.
The top 10 selected entries will receive All-Access Free of Cost delegate pass for the Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit valued at $700.
The top 10 selected entries will make pitch presentations on demo day/deal room within Nigeria Energy 2025 to potential investors, and mentors.
