Stage 1: Call for Submissions
28 July – 28 August 2026
Submit a one page concept note (max 500 words) under one of the four Challenge Categories. No pitch deck required at this stage.
Stage 2: Screening & Shortlisting
29 August – 30 September 2026
Applications are scored against the judging criteria. The ten highest scoring startups (Top 10) are announced and matched with an industry mentor for one on one guidance on their business model, pitch, and investment narrative. The Top 5 finalists are then confirmed.
Stage 3: Final Pitch, Demo Day
Prep: 1 – 15 October 2026 | Live: 27 – 29 October 2026
The Top 5 are announced with at least two weeks notice and receive virtual pitch coaching and investor readiness sessions. Finalists attend the Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit, where each gets a dedicated slot to pitch live, followed by Q&A with the judging panel. Winners are announced on stage the same day.
